Find out all about the range of your electric car
A new world is opening up for you
Numerous things can shape the range of your electric vehicle, among them weather conditions as well as your driving style. Find the factors that influence the effectiveness of an electric car’s battery.
Warming up at the start of a journey demands a lot from the batteries inside an electric car, thereby reducing their range. It’s preferable to pre-warm or pre-cool the cockpit using your MyDS app while your DS 3 CROSSBACK E-TENSE is still being charged.
Intense heat and freezing cold affect the chemical reaction inside batteries, preventing them from maintaining an optimal level of charge. In DS 3 CROSSBACK E-TENSE, the heat pump controls the temperature of the batteries and reduces the impact of extreme temperatures.?
In an electric car, driving at a consistent speed maintains range. Prioritise eco-driving with three drive modes accessed via the selector.
Recharge your batteries
Technology aiding your range
It's always the right time for charging
There are different ways to charge your electric car’s battery. Depending on the means of charging you choose, charging time can be increased or decreased.
You can decide to charge in your usual parking places: overnight at home or during the day at work for example. On longer trips, stop for a short break at a rapid charging point. You’ll recover 80% of your range in 30 minutes using 100kW RAPID charging.
Services and solutions designed for you
Charge as easily on the road as at home

Control your car with your fingertips
Control your electric car from your smartphone with the MyDS app
With the MyDS smartphone app, you can see the car’s current state of charge and approximate remaining range. When your car is plugged in, the speed and expected remaining charging time are also shown.
With control of remote charging you can use the MyDS app to commence charging or initiate a programmed charge. A programmed charge enables you to use the most beneficial energy rates to replenish your battery.
Configuring the cockpit's thermal pre-set function lets programme the heating or air conditioning of your car. Designed for your comfort, this function also conserves the range of your batteries if the car is charging.
